Terms of Service

1. Welcome

By creating a NearFix account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use NearFix.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to use NearFix. Service providers must comply with all applicable licensing & insurance requirements in their jurisdiction.

3. NearFix is a marketplace

NearFix connects customers and independent service providers. Providers are not our employees. We don't perform the work ourselves; the contract for services is between you and the provider you choose.

4. Bookings & cancellations

When you book a job, both parties confirm a date, time, and price. Cancellations within the timeframe stated on each booking are free; late cancellations may forfeit deposits per the cancellation policy.

5. Payments & platform fee

Payments are processed by Stripe. NearFix charges a platform fee on each completed booking; the rest is paid to the provider. Disputes within 48 h of completion pause the payout until reviewed.

6. 30-day Match-3 guarantee

When you post a job, we'll match you with up to 3 vetted pros within 30 days of posting. If we can't deliver three valid quotes within that window, your job posting is on us — no platform fee.

7. Acceptable use

• No fraud, misrepresentation, or harassment.
• No off-platform payments to circumvent the platform fee.
• No scraping, reverse-engineering, or abusing AI features.
• Respect each other — abuse leads to account suspension.

8. Disclaimers & liability

NearFix is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the platform fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the event.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date = acceptance.
